Keeping Track of the Insanity

Why I've Been Too Busy To Blog:

| Saturday, January 9
1. I started a new job. It's going well and I enjoy it very much. It is quite like the job I left in Boston so the learning curve is not as steep as one might expect. The main difference with this job is that I am a solid part of the department, not a half-breed with fingers in several departments. One part that I am finding that I don't much enjoy are budgets. YUCK! Although, the nerd in me loves the Excel formulas so I guess the rest of me will have to put up with it.

2. Minou has been very, very ill. To the point that I was scared I'd lose her. We still don't really know what is going on and she is very weak, but she's started to resume some of her old habits and personality quirks. She's also started eating (as of this morning so we don't know how permanent a change it will be until tomorrow). Meg and I both breathed a huge sigh of relief when we saw she was eating (and she used her litter box last night on her own!).

3. Meg is due to pop in just over a month (Feb 21st). With that due date looming I am throwing her a baby shower. There is planning and cleaning to get done before the event, or so I'm told. ;)

4. In line with #3 we have the nursery to finish. It's going to be spectacular if I do say so myself. I won't give away any details because she wants to unveil it at the baby shower. For those of you not attending we'll post before and after shots here and on Meg's blog.

5. School started again. MORE FREAKIN' MATH!! So it's sucking the life out of my brain. Again. Only one more block of math to go and then I'm done with it for good... at least that's what they tell me. It could be a trick to keep me from dropping out. I don't know.

6. I apparently started a family feud without even realizing it. Yes, I am that observant and talented. It's okay though, I've chosen not to participate. I left the drama department when I graduated High School and have no intention of returning. Though that could be one of the big reasons some extended family has placed me and other family in the proverbial dog house. Oh well, their loss. Right? Right!

So, that's my excuse for now. Check back next week and see what else I can possibly add to this list....
